Rooted Youth &

Family Therapy

At Rooted Youth and Family Therapy, LLC, our clinical perspective centers on the belief that every young person and family carries strengths, even in the middle of crisis. We work collaboratively with youth, caregivers, and sibling groups to identify what is already working, build new skills, and move toward goals that feel meaningful and achievable. Therapy is not about
“fixing” a child; it’s about empowering families to feel more confident, connected, and supported as they navigate real-life
challenges together

Meet Enrico

Enrico Rogers-Atkins, LCSW, is an independently licensed psychotherapist whose work is deeply rooted in the resilience of children, adolescents, and families. As a clinician, Enrico
has built a career in some of the most demanding settings—community mental health, school-based programs, acute psychiatric environments, and community-based outreach— successfully engaging youth and families who are often described as “hard to reach” or “at risk.”

Enrico’s practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming care, with a strong emphasis on family systems and youth voice. He has extensive experience supporting children and teens navigating complex trauma, court involvement, school disruptions, identity exploration, behavior challenges, and intergenerational patterns that can make home feel unsafe or unstable.

Across roles as an individual therapist, family clinician, group facilitator, and community-based provider, Enrico is known for his ability to build authentic relationships with young people others have struggled to connect with. He integrates evidence-based practices such
as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and strengths-based coaching with creative, developmentally appropriate interventions that actually make sense to kids and teens.

In session, caregivers experience a clinician who is direct but compassionate, structured but flexible, and deeply invested in collaboration. Enrico works alongside families—not above them—to co-create safety plans, conflict-resolution strategies, and day-to-day coping
tools that can be used outside the therapy room. His commitment is to help youth and families not only reduce symptoms, but also feel more rooted in their identities, values, and connections to one another.
